I get in trouble a lot because I have very little faith in others.<\/p>\n
I tend to \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcassume the worst\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 because my experience is that in general, people are not really that nice.<\/p>\n
Case in point\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6…<\/p>\n
On Tuesday (yesterday as I write this) PJ\u00c2\u00a0called me, in tears, her car was \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcbroken\u00e2\u20ac\u2122. Eventually she managed to explain that she had parked in the local CostCo parking lot and when she got back to her car found that someone had crashed into her car. They had not stayed, nor left details, nor even a \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcsorry\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 note.<\/p>\n
They mashed the rear fender and rear lights on the passenger side. Luckily I was off today so I knew that I would be able to assist with the insurance \/ rental car \/ repair shop stuff. In order to do so I went to the mall early to get my final couple of pieces of Christmas shopping before the rush started.<\/p>\n
When I got back to the MINI there was broken mirror glass and bits of plastic on the tarmac\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6….<\/p>\n

I noticed those before I noticed the dents and gouges in the metal or the door, a-panel and hood.<\/p>\n
Obviously, no note was left, whoever hit the car did not want to get involved.<\/p>\n
The security guy was unsurprised as it \u00e2\u20ac\u02dchappens all the time\u00e2\u20ac\u2122<\/p>\n
The damage ?<\/p>\n
Drivers door \u00e2\u20ac\u201c dents and scratches.
\nDrivers Door mirror \u00e2\u20ac\u201c in 17,763 pieces. I counted, twice.
\nA-Panel \u00e2\u20ac\u201c trashed.
\nHood \u00e2\u20ac\u201c trashed.
\nMirror cap \u00e2\u20ac\u201c missing \u00e2\u20ac\u201c presumably taken as a souvenir.
\nFront arch \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 1\/2 missing, 1\/2 lying on the floor.<\/p>\n
So, as I said, people suck.<\/p>\n
I cannot think of an excuse that, well, excuses the idiots that hit both of us.<\/p>\n
